Woooo, that was close. Three weeks before our planned departure date and we were still running around like mad trying to sell the boat. A bit stressful to say the least. We were faced with two options: 1, delay the trip and hopefully sell the boat within a month or so (no fun). 2, hand the boat over to a broker and hope that they can sell it while we are abroad (risky). We had the big list of pros and cons trying to decide which route to take when we got the call from the buyer. We finally sold it last Thursday for a good price, and are breathing much easier. So, nothing should stop us now (we hope).All along we were planning on leaving the US via LAX, but lastnight we found tickets from Medford to LAX for $100, so we went with that. Pretty cheap. Once again, our good friends Jason and Kelly are helping us out. Not only will they be taking on Huck (#2) duties and storing my Spitfire, but will now be storing Leah's Honda as well. Wow, do we owe them!
